History of Flight
Coloring Book

    We love Dover Books.
Some of the most original, finest, most interesting soft cover picture and activity books that have ever been created are from this fine old-line publishing company.
Maybe what we also like about Dover Books is that they are great and also not very expensive.
Elsewhere, while a galaxy of self-publishers and aviation enthusiast magazines and websites sell stuff that is not very good, or pretty but vapid, here are these wonderful Dover Books touching just the right chord. This year 2003, being the Centennial of Flight, Dover has a real beauty that will bring hours of fun, fascination and even a smidge of education to the children.
“Flight”, a coloring book by A.G. Smith includes 47 accurate drawings including 18th century balloons, 19th century dirigibles, Spirit of St. Louis, military aircraft and fighters, the Concorde SST and the Space Shuttle.
Only one beef here—no cargo aircraft. But Dover does include blank end sheets so maybe your favorite artist can create an A300B4 freighter just for laughs.
“Flight” includes 48 pages in an 8 by 11 inch format and costs $3.95.Available from Dover Books: www.doverbooks.com.
While you’re at that address, check out their expansive library of other titles covering the Wrights, Lindbergh and various transportation and other topics, all incomparable at any price but only $3.95 from Dover.
     We would enjoy your feedback.
