A Forwarder Tale
At EMO Trans Stuttgart Andreas Pfitzner,
Stuttgart Branch Manager, received a special request from EMO Trans Global
Logistics founder Mr. Eckart Moltmann.
Mr. Moltmann’s brother Prof. Dr Jürgen
Moltmann, a leading theologian passed away June 4, 2024 at age of 98.
Jürgen
Moltmann’s most recent book, “Hope in These Troubled Times”
published in 2019 added to his lifelong dedication as one of the most
widely read and respected theologians in the world.
Fifty years after his first work, Jürgen
Moltmann remained a leading thinker in Christian theology, political and
ecological theology, and the theology of hope.
Luckily for people in the USA and students
around the world, Jürgen, maintained a private library. He also taught
at Emory University in Atlanta from 1983 to 1993 serving as the Robert
W. Woodruff Distinguished Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology at
Candler School of Theology.
Jürgen Moltmann’s four daughters
and his brother Eckart in an act of selfless outreach, arranged a donation
of 4,000 books to the Emory collection library, and a team of EMO personnel,
including the aforementioned Andreas Pfitzner pictured with Stuttgart
Airfreight Export Manager Laura Rodriguez Lozano who in 2024 celebrated
25 years with EMO Trans, Dennis Scholz Stuttgart Airfreight Export Manager
(above right), and the Stuttgart support team arranged for custom packing
of 4,000 books for airlifting to Atlanta.
In Atlanta, Tommy Heisley, Airfreight Manager,
(bottom left) Samantha Singletary, CHB Manager, (bottom right) and the
EMO Trans ATL support team worked closely to communicate details and successfully
delivered the books to Emory University.
Maybe most heartfelt in all of this was
reaction of the ATL EMO Trans team who described the experience this way:
“It was great to work with friends
and colleagues at the STR office, as well as have the honor of supporting
the beloved Mr. Moltmann and his family with this donation to Emory University.”
“Success By Performance” is
wonderful to contemplate these days.
