Happyful JFK Summer Golf

Macit Reggie Bal, Felicia Rizza, Joe Cipolla

For anyone who finds air cargo rewarding and is in or about New York City, not to be missed on August 15 , comes a feel good, all-day always sold-out event for fun, food, sports, and all of your friends will be there.
The venue is located at Smithtown, Long Island, where once again The JFK Dan Ferrante Memorial Golf Classic tees off at beautiful Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club.
Since its inception 19 years ago, after Danny, a much beloved figure of the JFK and New York air cargo community who worked for BAX Global died tragically and suddenly after his brave fight to beat down cancer, air cargo in New York City gathers in his name to honor the man each year and to raise money to help carry on the fight to find a cure for cancer.
“This is our 19th year,” reports Macit Reggie Bal Director of Operations/ATC Aviation Services USA (pictured).
Reggie an airport stalwart for decades has never forgotten the needy. He is a stand up guy and all around great human being.
Save The Date   “The Premier Event of the J.F.K Intl. Airport Cargo Community,” Reggie says, adding:
“Proceeds from this event go to Cancer Care.
“Our Danny Ferrante Memorial Golf Event is a day for air cargo to celebrate friendship, with our deep gratitude directed toward the generosity of our sponsors in supporting our fund-raising efforts.
“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, players can enjoy a variety of refreshments all day long and at tees along the course.
“After the game we will all relax with cocktails prior to enjoying the fabulous Gala Awards Dinner with raffles, including prizes of airline tickets, and more.
“Our event is open to all,” Reggie said.
“Danny was all about people,” recalled his friend Joe Cipolla told us.
Joe who today is, Regional Procurement Director at Crane Worldwide Logistics said fervently:
  “Danny was my mentor.
“He brought me into the freight forwarding business.
“I had worked for many years at Alitalia Cargo, but Danny saw me as a better fit in the forwarding end of the business.
“He encouraged me to change, held my hand as much as needed, and in the end, gave me a better life.
“Danny was like that for everybody,” Joe Cipolla said
You wonder about air cargo executives maintaining their commitment to aide charity efforts no matter what else is going on.
But then you remember just recently the COVID and the performance of air cargo and that extraordinary common effort to help everybody that has always been as natural as breathing out and breathing in amongst people of our industry everywhere.
Our hats off to those good folks that lift The Dan Ferrante Memorial Golf Classic.
They carry the weight and help us realize both the strength and the tenacity of our community.
Thanks especially to Reggie, Joe Cipolla Sr. and Jr., plus Felicia Rizza, Ed Strauhs and Rich Johnson.
  Not to be missed.
