Mr.
Potato Pancakes |
One look at this man tells you he means business. Last Tuesday Mr Gerald Jung was cooking up and serving mountains of freshly made home-style German potato pancakes inside the Fluggi Restaurant at the InterCity Hotel at Cargo City Süd at Frankfurt Airport. We met Gerald as he piled our plate high with the delicacy people declare is “just like Mutti used to make.” Add some sour cream, applesauce, or fresh smoked salmon to the plate and take off on a feathery-light, first class pancake flight of fancy, all the way to comfort food heaven! Asked if he checks the mix with frequent tastings and Gerald wasted little time uttering a no-nonsense “Ja!” on all counts. A lunch of InterCity pancakes tops our list each visit to Frankfurt and the “best cargo area hotel in the world.” Geoffrey More on InterCity Cargo City Süd Frankfurt . . . |
