![]() ![]() ![]() At the same time, I am humbled by all the positive words that have come my way after the announcement. The celebrations can wait as our job is cut out for us in today’s tough market environment. For us, our first focus is to get as much as possible from Oliver [Evans] as we continue to uncover (with his help) his magic tricks and potions to run a successful organization, as he has done for the last decade. Even though I am an internal candidate, it’s important that Oliver and I jointly visit and dialogue with our key partners—both customers and suppliers—so that they can hear a voice of continuity and we can give them the trust that they will experience the same engagement and service quality from SWC as in the past. Our service partners should not be troubled or interrupted due to an internal change of SWC. To paraphrase Charles Dickens, ‘it is the worst of times and it's the best of times, it's the age of foolishness and it's the age of wisdom.’ We will seek out opportunities. SWC has a clear mission and clear vision. I have a team that is motivated to implement a strategy that we have jointly defined. ![]() Geoffrey |
