“We had a great game and it was even better knowing that we played for a worthy cause,” said Nalin Rodrigo, Head of SriLankan Cargo.
This year’s event also included something for the non-golfers playing in a crazy golf putting tournament, which turned out to be a very popular attraction.

But maybe the greatest thrill of all was arriving from Katunayeke International Airport and Ratmalana Airport landing on Lake Gregory (Nurwara Eliya) aboard the SriLanka float planes.
“The exhilaration of a water landing aboard SriLankan Air Taxi is undeniable,” Nalin commented.
The flights into the fabeled Sri Lanka mountains afforded the golfers breathtaking views of the diverse landscapes of that beautiful place, flying only a few thousand feet above the ground, far lower than the height of regular commercial aircraft.
Passengers got a birds-eye view of towering mountains and the central hills during the clear skies of early May.
“Picture postcard views of the country and coastline,” was the constant comment.
SriLankan Air Taxi, the domestic arm of SriLankan Airlines, has made any part of the island accessible within an hour for foreign tourists, local holidaymakers, businessmen and NGO persons operatating to 15 locations.
