The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recently celebrated
its thirtieth anniversary by issuing a report (Lessons Learned and
Lives Saved) highlighting the Board’s achievements in improving
safety in all modes of transportation. The report illustrates the
NTSB-inspired safety advances that have been made in all phases
of transportation and also lists the NTSB’s “most wanted”
safety improvements

Qantas Cargo has added non-stop freighter service from Australia
to Johannesburg, South Africa.
“That is a long flight,”

At Paris Air Show despite all the bells and whistles
from the Boeing camp about a big comeback, Airbus A380 on the ground
and in the air arriving had jaws dropping.

A350’s Airbus looks to exit the six-day event with about 100
orders for its head to head rival for the Boeing B787.

Bells are ringing at Dnata. The Dubai-based air cargo handler said
April 2004-March 2005 call center activity was above 70,000 calls
a month adding up to a 15% up-tick over the previous year.
